Novagard G687 is an excellent water barrier with superior corrosion protection properties.Designed for use as a dielectric compound on highvoltage insulators, Novagard G 687 reduces theopportunity for dirt and moisture to create arcing acrossthe insulator.
Novagard G-687 prevents the formation ofa conducting film of water thereby eliminating any arcover under wet conditions. The silicone engulfs andencapsulates any water-borne, hydrophilic particles sothat the insulator remains water repellenteven in dusty,highly conductive atmospheres. Novagard G/687 is alsoan excellent mold release and rubber lubricant. Thecompound may be applied by wiping, brushing, or byspraying.
